Free cleft lip & palate surgery

Operation Smile Ghana provides free surgery to children and adults born with cleft lip and cleft palate. Since 2011 it has carried out more than 3,400 cleft surgeries through a hub-and-spoke model, training Ghanaian surgeons at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra and running quarterly surgical missions at regional hospitals in Koforidua, Cape Coast and Ho. A single operation can restore a child's ability to eat, speak and smile. This is Operation Smile's own programme; contributions help fund free cleft surgeries.
