Kofi Adomah Nwanwanii
CriticalKofi Adomah Nwanwanii, a well-known Ghanaian journalist, was shot in the eye on 21 December 2024 while covering the Dormaa Kwafie festival and the Dormaahene's 25th enstoolment anniversary in Ghana's Bono region. He received first aid at Dormaa Presbyterian Hospital, was transferred to Berekum Holy Family Hospital, then flown to Dubai for surgery on the injured eye, and later continued treatment in the UK after doctors found the second eye was also affected. This is his own real, ongoing appeal, organised by Oppong Kofi — goal €50,000 (~GHS 850,000).
