High
Recurrent ameloblastoma (jaw tumour) requiring resection & reconstruction

Grace, 61, has a recurrent ameloblastoma, a rare, aggressive jaw tumour that has caused facial deformation, pain and difficulty eating. She has already had four surgeries at Ghanaian teaching hospitals without a permanent resolution. Dr. Mark Snell and Professor Koch (Johns Hopkins) have agreed to carry out a complex jaw resection and reconstruction at Mbingo Baptist Mission Hospital in Cameroon. This is Grace's own real, ongoing appeal, organised by Dr. Moses Fraser, a physician who met her during a visit to Ghana - goal $12,000 (~GHS 186,000).
