Bone-marrow transplant programme
HighBone-marrow transplantation for sickle cell & leukaemia
BMT Ghana Foundation runs the country's first Bone Marrow Transplantation Unit, based at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital. Founded in 2017, it works on the prevention, early diagnosis, treatment and cure of sickle cell disease, leukaemia, aplastic anaemia and paediatric cancers — conditions for which a bone-marrow transplant can be curative. This is the Foundation's own programme; contributions help fund transplants and care for patients who could not otherwise afford them.
